Taco Seasoning
Tastes great with any meat, even if not measured precisely.
Per pound of meat:
- 1/3 Cup Water
- 1/2 Tablespoon Chili Powder
- 1/2 Tablespoon Flour (optional for thickening)
- 1/2 Tablespoon Smoked Paprika (regular Paprika is acceptable)
- 1/2 Tablespoon Salt
- 3/4 teaspoon Ground Coriander
- 3/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder (or fresh garlic)
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon Mexican Oregano (Italian Oregano is a weak substitute)
For ground beef (or turkey)
Brown and drain meat, add all seasoning and simmer on low until seasoning is cooked in.
For chicken thighs
Slow cook or pressure cook with a little more water.
Instant Pot chicken thighs
- Adjust ingredients:
- 3 Pounds chicken thighs
- Increase water to just under a cup
- Season like its 4 Pounds (recipe x 4)
- Pressure cook “Low” pressure, “Less” mode, 30 minutes
- When done smoosh chicken with spoon to break it up and stir in seasonings
- Pressure cook the same settings for 0 minutes
